Disable Feedback Link in Windows 7 (22.jan.2009)

How to disable the Feedback Link in Windows 7 Ultimate
Remove Send Feedback link from your windows 7 - build 7000

If you are like me, you would want to disable the Feedback Link that you find in every window you open inside Windows 7. I mean, it can be practical to report broken features in the beta using that link, still, if you really really need to send Microsoft some tip about some broken feature, why not use the shortcut on your Desktop, or the icon inside your Control Panel.

Well... If you want to remove that link from Windows 7, then follow me on this....

FIRST THINGS FIRST:
YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR WINDOWS READY FOR ALL KINDS OF CHANGES
CHECK OUT THE GUIDE CALLED:
"Ready Your Windows 7 For Editing"
BEFORE YOU CONTINUE WITH THIS GUIDE!!

1. Open Notepad - go to Start, Search and write "notepad.exe" and then click the icon...

2. Write the following in notepad:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"FeedbackToolEnabled"=dword:00000000

3. Save this file as "DisableFeebackLink.reg" on your Desktop and remember to choose the filetype you want to save it as should be "All Files", if not it will be saved as an .TXT and we need it to be saved with .REG as its filetype...

4. Find the file on your Desktop and double-click it...

5.Press YES on the message that is asking you: "Are you sure you want to continue?"
6.Press OK on the follow-up message about "Keys and values has been added to the registry"

7. Log off your user account, and log back on...
You will notice that the Feedback Link is all gone...

Enjoy your New and much Smoother design...
Sincerely, AlexData!
